“As one of the top pathology labs in India, Dr Lal PathLabs has a very strong focus on hiring and retaining top quality manpower to drive our different departments within and outside the labs. Despite our size, we maintain an environment that nurtures some of the top thinkers in India in their respective fields of expertise.

Over 3000 individuals work at the Dr Lal PathLabs in India with over 55 percent of the staff in laboratory functions. We have a qualified team of 147 pathology specialists, 8 Radiologists, 13 Microbiologists, 5 Biochemists and 11 specialists with doctorate degrees. Also, there is a growing pool of young leadership from top institutions like AFMC, IIMs, IITs, XLRI, SP JAIN amongst others.”

We have built a national network consisting of our National Reference Laboratory in New Delhi along with 190+ other clinical / medical laboratories, 1700+ lab patient service centers and 5,000+ pickup points as of March 31, 2017 with the widest test menu of 4500 tests and panels. Our network has coverage across India, including metropolitan areas such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. We offer access to one of the best diagnostic pathology services in India through our nationwide network of clinical / medical laboratories (including our National Reference Laboratory), lab patient service centers and pickup points.

Dr. Om Manchanda

Dr. Om Manchanda is the Chief Executive Officer of Dr Lal PathLabs, India's largest medical diagnostics company. Popularly known as 'Om' among his friends, colleagues and close business associates, he has a diverse experience of over 24 years across sales, marketing and general management functions in business sectors such as FMCG, agri-biotech products, consumer healthcare and medical diagnostics.

Before joining Dr Lal PathLabs in 2005, Manchanda led the International & Innovation group of the Consumer Healthcare Division at Ranbaxy. He was part of the senior management team responsible for launching Ranbaxy's foray into consumer healthcare.

Prior to Ranbaxy, he worked for Monsanto as the head of Sales and Marketing, where his team successfully launched the company's first ever biotech product Bt-Cotton.

Earlier, during his tenure with Hindustan Unilever for about 10 years, Manchanda received in-depth exposure in consumer product sales, distribution and marketing. He cherishes the memory of how at Unilever, as the Senior Brand Manager - Innovation, he had led the designing and launching of a tea-based beverage at HLL, which won Unilever's Global Innovation Award. Manchanda considers that award special among the several awards he had received at Unilever.

An MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad; Manchanda is also a Doctor in Veterinary Sciences from HAU, Hisar.

He is an avid reader of management books with his favourite authors being Steven Covey, Jack Welch, Peter M Senge and John Philip Jones.

Bharath Uppiliappan is the Chief Operating Officer (Region – 1) at Dr Lal PathLabs Ltd.

His last assignment was with Bharti Airtel as Circle CEO responsible for growing market share, revenues ( nearly Rs 5000 Crores) and people engagement. In his 20 year career so far, he has focused on P&L management and strategy roles with industry leading companies in Telecom (Airtel), FMCG (Hindustan Unilever Ltd) and Retail ( Bharti Wal Mart) across multiple categories like Foods, Apparel, Home & Personal Care and General Merchandise.

Bharath comes with expertise in managing not only large operations but also in green-field business strategy development, distribution – customer – category development programs, brand & reputation management, retail format development, direct sourcing initiatives, mergers and acquisitions. He believes that in order to succeed, one has to create value for all stakeholders.

Bharath is PGDM from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai and an Electrical &Electronics Engineer from NIT Trichy

Manoj Sahay is the Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer at Dr Lal PathLabs.

He brings with him more than 19 Years of rich experience across marketing, sales and business strategy both in Healthcare and in the FMCG domain. In his last assignment, Manoj was associated with Sanofi India Ltd as General Manager Consumer Healthcare, South Asia. Prior to Sanofi, Manoj has worked in several different companies like Britannia, Reckitt Benckiser and Castrol.

Manoj is an MBA from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research and has done his MSc Physics from IIT Delhi

Dr Neelum Tripathi is National Director Lab Operations at Dr Lal PathLabs, she is a Pathologist from MGM medical college Indore MP. She joined at Dr Lal PathLabs as Head Lab Operations in 2006.

She has experience of more than 20 yrs as a Pathologist and running operations of hospital based and stand-alone Labs.

Prior to joining Dr Lal PathLabs she worked as a pathologist with SRL Ranbaxy, Fortis Hospital Noida, Noida Medical Center, Gokuldas Hospital and Research Center Indore, Apollo Diagnostic Center Indore.

In her current assignment her role is to ensure introduction of enhancement initiatives through measures as automation of preanalytics, Lab Information system implementation, lean work flow with measures such as Sorter and Automates, sample management scheduling, and tracking of sample and associated analytical workload that tracks the sample and maintains TAT for the Lab. She ensures compliance towards uniformity of Laboratory instrumentation, SOP and policy guidelines for Labs, client relationship management, liaison and coordination.

Mr. Vijender Singh joined Dr Lal PathLabs in March 2006 and is currently working as Chief Operating Officer-Region 1 and CEO International. He has been instrumental in setting up Sales organization, streamlining Logistics and setting up multiple Channels viz-Laboratories, Collection Centre's and Patient Service Centres to consolidate and enhance services.

He has a total working experience of around 24 years in Sales, Distribution, Strategic planning & Customer service functions. Prior to joining Dr Lal PathLabs, Mr. Vijender Singh worked for Ranbaxy (Global Consumer Healthcare) for about 4 years, Bausch & Lomb for about 6 years and Blow Plast for about 6 years. He has diverse exposure in Channel Management and in start up businesses /markets.

In Ranbaxy, he was serving the newly established Global Consumer Healthcare Division targeted to make a mark in the global OTC and herbal products market with a set of brands to start with. There, he was responsible for setting up the Sales & Distribution SOP's, New Product launches, channel management etc.

During the tenure with Bausch & Lomb, he was entrusted with multiple channel management like Distributors, Whole sellers and Dealers. Other than sales management he has successfully managed the entire cost control exercise in CBU. He was an integral part to set up After sales services, Brand visibility etc.

In Blow Plast Limited, he was associated with Leo Mattel toys and was into multi channel management.

Mr. Vijender Singh is ISB alumni, attended Executive education programme and also attended Global advanced management programme at Silicon Valley, US (by UCLA and AIMA).

Mr. Shankha Banerjee is an alumnus of Delhi College of Engineering and SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai. He has also done ‘BP Sales and Marketing Leadership Development Course’ at Kellogs, USA.

He worked for Castrol India Limited & BP Lubricants for 14 years and went on to become Global Market Space Manager. Later he joined Pidilite Industry Limited as President – Sales & Marketing:Middle East & Africa

He joined Dr Lal PathLabs in July 2014 as Chief Operating Officer-Region II

For his extraordinary performance, Mr. Shankha Banerjee has won several awards. He was felicitated with the BP Group Marketing Beacon Award for Best Advertising and Promotion Campaign in 2004, and was twice commended in the Annual BP Group Helios Award.

Mr. Munender Soperna joined Dr Lal PathLabs in Sep, 2007 and is currently working as Chief Information Officer. He has a rich experience of directing business and technology operations for Healthcare-Pathology, Auto Ancillary, and Power & Consultancy industries to optimize bottom line productivity. He is skilled, is a hands-on technologist in Microsoft Technologies and adepts at quickly putting changes in motion, with direct leadership to development and implementation teams.

He has a visionary ability to take organizational objectives forward and produce real life solutions for long-term success. He has rich experience of managing large-scale business critical projects, which resulted in effective use of technology for reducing turn around time for the customer leading higher satisfaction level. While improving service levels for the customer he was able to optimize cost and effectively manage risk associated with change.

Prior to Dr Lal PathLabs, Mr. Soperna worked with Malana Power Company Ltd. (A unit of LNJ Bhilwara Group) where he was the technical lead for implementation of two ERPs one for Hydropower and another for Consultancy company. Mr. Munender Soperna is a post graduate in Computer Application from Delhi University with Master in Business Administration in Systems. He has been enabling use of technology for business since last Sixteen years across different industries.

CA Ved Prakash Goel is a finance professional with more than 20 years of professional experience in different industries including Manufacturing, Mines, Engineering, Infrastructure and Healthcare Services. As a Chartered Accountant, Ved Goel specializes in the financial aspects of business. He looks after day - to - day management and financial matters including purchases and commercials of the Company. He also has a strong expertise in Financial & Strategic Planning and Execution, Fund Raising, Controlling, Legal & Corporate Affairs, Corporate Reporting, Merger & Acquisition, Direct & Indirect Taxes and various other areas related to finance and commercials. Ved Goel joined Dr Lal PathLabs in 2006 and Working now as Chief Financial Officer.

Before joining Dr Lal PathLabs in 2006, Mr. Goel led the other senior positions in SAS Servizio Ltd, Promoter of Medicity & Channel partner of Hewlett Packard, EIPL and Ramsons.

B.Com (H) from Delhi University and also a Fellow Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Manoj Garg is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Dr Lal PathLabs. He has over 21 years of professional experience with a variety of organizations across multiple industries including Paints , Semiconductors and Telecom.

In his last assignment as Senior Vice President HR with Bharti Airtel, Manoj was responsible for HR Strategy and Delivery for Market operations. He successfully led the organization change management and talent management agenda for a workforce of around 10,000 employees.

He started his career with Asian paints India and successfully led the HR function of Kasna manufacturing unit. Manoj has been global program manager with STMicrolectronics where he successfully rolled out Peoplesoft across 35 country locations, and led their HRIS practice. He has also been associated with DELL india, as head of HR for the Gurgaon Facility.

Manoj brings a very rich and diverse experience in HR Strategy, Organization transformation , Information systems and Talent management experience from US, European and large Indian Multinationals.

Manoj is a MBA HR (Gold Medal) from XLRI Jamshedpur , and B Tech from NIT Kozhikode.
Dr. Arvind Lal

Mr. Arun Duggal, aged 68 years, is an Additional (Independent) Director on our Board and has been associated with our Company since 2015 and is a member of the Audit Committee and the chairman of our Nomination and Remuneration Committee. He holds a bachelor’s degree in technology (mechanical engineering) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and a post graduate diploma in business administration from the IIMA. He has about 27 years of experience in the field of banking. He has in past been associated with the Bank of America as their Country Chief Executive India.
Mr. Harneet Singh Chandhoke

Mr. Harneet Singh Chandhoke, aged 50 years, is an Additional (Independent) Director on our Board and has been associated with our Company since 2015. He is currently a member of our Nomination and Remuneration Committee and CSR Committee. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Delhi. He has about 24 years of experience in the field of law and is presently a Senior Partner at Luthra & Luthra Law Offices Litigation.
Dr. Arvind Lal

Mr. Saurabh Srivastava, aged 69 years, is an Additional (Independent) Director on our Board and has been associated with our Company since 2015. He is currently the chairman of our Stakeholders Relationship Committee and a member of our Nomination and Remuneration Committee. He holds a bachelor’s degree in technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and a master’s degree in business from the Harvard University. He has about 40 years of experience in the field of information technology. In past he has been inter alia associated with IBM, AV Thomas Software Research Limited, IIS Infotech Limited and NASSCOM.
Mr. Anoop Mahendra Singh

Mr. Anoop Mahendra Singh, aged 45 years, is an Additional (Independent) Director on our Board and has been associated with our Company since 2015 and is a member of our Audit Committee. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Arts from the University of Bombay, a master’s degree in Arts (economics) from the University of Madras and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He is admitted to the status of Certified Practising Accountant of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants. He has over 16 years of experience in the field of Finance. He has in past been associated with Australian Diagnostics Group Pty Limited, as their director, with Symbion Health Limited as Chief Financial and Operating Officer for their pathology division.
Mr. Sunil Varma

Mr. Sunil Varma, aged 71 years, is an Additional (Independent) Director on our Board and has been associated with our Company since 2015. He is currently the Chairman of our Audit Committee. He holds a bachelor’s degree in arts from the Panjab University, is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and an associate of the Institute of Costs and Works Accountants of India. He has about 40 years of experience in the field of consulting.
Dr. Arvind Lal

Dr. Arvind Lal is the Chairman and Managing Director of Dr Lal PathLabs, the 60+ years old and most respected pathology laboratory in India. He has been conferred by the President of India an Honorary Brigadier's rank in the Armed Forces Medical Services and also the Padma Shri award.

Dr. Arvind Lal is recognized as a pioneer in bringing laboratory services in India at par with the western world. Under his expert guidance and leadership, Dr Lal PathLabs has become one of the most reputed laboratories in Asia, having to its credit the highest number of accreditations (Eight) from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories. He brought International recognition to the Indian Healthcare Industry in the form of accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP - USA). The lab currently tests more than 30,000 patients per day through its more than 150 labs spread all over India

Dr. Lal has revolutionized laboratory medicine by introducing the maximum number of new tests, instruments and ICT (Information, Communications, Technology) systems. His R & D unit is recognized by the Department of Science and Technology and provides highly specialized tests at low cost to the weaker sections of the society.

Dr. Vandana Lal

Dr. Vandana Lal became a part of the organization in 1983 after completion of MD (Pathology) from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi. She pioneered the enhancement of test menu in the laboratory by introducing the department of Histopathology & Cytopathology, Special Immunology for tests like Western Blot for HIV and Allergy testing with more sophisticated technology. She was trained in Karolinska Institute & Huddinge Hospital, Sweden in the field of Transplantation Immunology following which the laboratory is providing facility for HLA testing for organ transplantation since 1990.

Dr. Vandana Lal is also trained in Quality Assurance and spearheads the quality implementation process in all the laboratories of Dr Lal PathLabs . She is the head of Clinical Research Services being the Chief Technical Officer since 2007, playing a pivotal role in conception, planning, construction, execution & operationalizing the Clinical trials division. She also heads the Research & Development wing of Dr Lal PathLabs by monitoring development of new tests and methods.

She is the Executive Director since 1995. Her job profile includes expansion of activities of the laboratory with assistance in planning and execution of new projects for the company; overall charge of all the technical departments ensuring accuracy, quality assurance, quality control & compliance to standards laid down by the accreditation bodies like CAP, NABL & ISO.

Mr. Rahul Sharma

Mr. Sharma joined the Board of Dr Lal PathLabs in 2005. He is presently a Partner with Executive Access Hong Kong, a top-ranked leading executive search and human resources consulting firm in Asia. His areas of expertise include executive search and consulting within the Investment Banking (ECM/DCM/M&A/Industry etc.), Corporate Banking, Private Equity, Distressed Debt, Fixed Income, Equities, as well as Fund and Wealth Management areas.

Mr. Sharma has spent over sixteen years with Executive Access. He initially joined Executive Access in 1993 with a mandate to create and develop the research group. Almost immediately he was asked to manage a large portfolio of regional projects that included very senior hires as well as helping build investment banking and research teams for major banks/Wall Street firms. In the following years he built a substantial Investment Banking and a Private Equity practice for Executive Access focusing on Pan Asian mandates and projects including India. In addition to managing straight executive search mandates he has also completed a variety of projects focused on entry strategy and human resources consulting. Mr. Sharma has also developed compensation and benefits plans (including ESOP/Incentive plans) and organizational structures for a variety of companies in the region including India.

Prior to joining Executive Access, Mr. Sharma spent over seven years with India's largest financial institution, The State Bank of India. He joined the bank as a Management Trainee (Probationary Officer) and worked in India, and then in Tokyo (Japan) for three years on foreign exchange, credit and treasury desks. Mr. Sharma schooled at Modern School, Barakhamba Road, Delhi and is a graduate from the University of Delhi where he received his degree in Mathematics with honours; in addition he also has a degree in Commerce. Mr. Sharma also completed Post Graduate in Management from the University of Delhi. He is also an Associate Member of the Indian Institute of Bankers. While at State Bank of India Mr. Sharma also completed courses in leadership development and planning.
